Take Home Book Bags: Easter

Description

Thematic bags are a unique alternative to homework. Inside each one are book suggestions, writing journals, games, fun family experience ideas and an activity sheet, all centered around one topic. They not only encourage reading at home, but also allow for family interaction, as well. Take Home Book Bags are especially beneficial for students who don’t have access to books at home.

In each bag, the teacher places 3-4 books that relate to the bag’s theme. I’ve included a list of suggestions for you! A writing journal also goes in the bag. I’ve included journal templates, but a spiral or composition notebook work as well. Additionally, there is a different game for each bag. Then there is a list of suggested fun activities for students to do with their families that relate to the bag’s topic. Lastly, there is an activity sheet for students to complete.
